Committed To Create an
International
Madha TV Family
Madha TV has been the priced initiative of the Tamilnadu Catholic Church, under the leadership of the Bishops of Tamilnadu state. The Regional Commission for Social Communications of the Tamilnadu Bishops’ Council, Christened as Santhome Communications Centre was begun as a response to the call of vatican II on 6th August 1976. Since then, the Regional Commission was committed to a mission of “Proclaiming God’s Love through Media.”
Having made a presence in the mainstream media though its varied media production and training activities, specially via coordinating programmes for Radio Veritas Asia – Tamil Service and Vatican Radio Tamil service, Santhome Communications Centre entered into Satellite Broadcasting through Madha TV. This was in response to the peoples’ long awaited dream to have a Catholic Satellite Channel, to provide an opportunity to revive the Catholic Culture, by uniting as one large family united in prayer and official Catholic teaching of the Church.
Madha Media Fellowship is an attempt at forming a international community of volunteers who participate in the Media Evangelization Ministry of Madha TV. It is a registered community that takes active part in reviving the Tamil Culture and rediscover the Tamil Catholic Faith Life. We unite ourselves under the banner of Madha TV that has made a place for itself in every home. Madha Media Fellowship unites Tamil Catholics in the Diaspora to actively participate in the realising the vision of Madha TV – “To bring the Reign of God in Every Home.”
Madha Media Fellowship is a Voluntary Association formed by the Tamil Catholics living in different parts of the world outside of India and Sri Lanka. This Association is registered under the norms of the non-profiting Act, according to the regulations of the particular country by the Tamil Catholics living in those country.
